This course focuses on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of workplace environmental factors that may affect workers’ health and well-being. This course covers key topics such as chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic hazards; exposure assessment; toxicology; and the implementation of control measures to reduce risks. Students will learn how to conduct industrial hygiene surveys, monitor environmental conditions, and apply engineering, administrative, and personal protective controls. The course emphasizes compliance with occupational health regulations and best practices in protecting workers from hazardous exposures.
