Improvement, Creativity and Innovation

This course focuses on fostering creativity and innovation in healthcare to drive continuous improvement in patient care, operational efficiency, and overall healthcare outcomes. This course covers strategies for implementing process improvements, promoting creative problem-solving, and leveraging innovation to address challenges in healthcare delivery. Students will learn how to apply quality improvement methodologies, design thinking, and innovation frameworks to develop solutions that improve healthcare services. The course emphasizes practical approaches to change management and the role of leadership in creating a culture of innovation in healthcare organizations.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understanding Quality Improvement Principles: Students will develop a foundational understanding of key quality improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) and how they are applied to improve healthcare processes and outcomes.
