Global Health Challenges

This course explores the major health challenges facing populations worldwide, including infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and health inequities. Students will examine the social, economic, and environmental determinants of health and evaluate global efforts to address these challenges. The course emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving in the context of global public health initiatives.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understand Global Health Issues: Identify and explain the key health challenges affecting populations globally, including emerging and persistent health concerns.
• Analyze Health Determinants: Evaluate the impact of social, economic, and environmental factors on global health outcomes.
• Examine Global Health Interventions: Assess international public health initiatives and their effectiveness in addressing health disparities and challenges.
• Propose Solutions to Health Challenges: Develop evidence-based recommendations to tackle global health challenges through sustainable and collaborative approaches.
