This course introduces students to the foundational principles, techniques, and applications of one of the most widely used therapeutic approaches in mental health counseling. The course covers key concepts of CBT, including the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how these interactions contribute to psychological distress. Students will learn how to assess, challenge, and modify cognitive distortions, as well as implement behavioral interventions to help clients develop healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies.
