Course Description

This course examines the relationship between health, healthcare systems, and societal factors. This course explores the social, cultural, economic, and political influences on health outcomes, healthcare access, and the delivery of healthcare services. Students will analyze the role of social determinants of health, such as education, income, race, and environment, and how these factors contribute to health disparities within communities. The course emphasizes the importance of understanding health from a societal perspective to inform effective public health strategies and policies.
