Introduction to Community Development

This course provides an overview of the principles, practices, and strategies used in community development. This course explores the processes involved in planning and implementing projects that enhance the social, economic, and environmental well-being of communities. Students will learn about community assessment, stakeholder engagement, and program evaluation. The course emphasizes the role of community development in fostering sustainable change and building capacity at the local level. Through case studies, project simulations, and hands-on activities, students will gain practical experience in addressing community needs and challenges.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understanding Community Development Principles: Students will develop a foundational understanding of community development concepts, including the key principles, goals, and processes involved in fostering community growth and improvement.
