Course Description

This course provides students with an understanding of the key concepts and theories in international relations. This course explores the dynamics of global interactions among states and non-state actors in the contemporary international system. Topics covered include power politics, global governance, international conflict and cooperation, economic interdependence, and human rights. Through lectures, readings, and discussions, students will examine case studies and current events to understand the complexities of international politics today.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand Core Theories and Concepts: Students will be able to articulate and critique the major theories of international relations, including realism, liberalism, and constructivism, and understand their application to current global issues.
